Improve attribute support in Grease Pencil

Currently in 4.4a there is only an option to add layer domain attributes. Having the option to add and modify similar attributes in stroke and point domains opens up more possibilities for geometry node setups.

Editing the attributes could be done in a similar manner as with mesh objects, with the "Set Attribute" operator in Edit Mode.

Later on a feature to modify these attributes in the sculpt or paint mode could open up some interesting workflow options in conjunction with geometry nodes.

The attribute system overall seems to be in a bit of a WIP state at the moment, seeing that there isn't a way to modify the layer domain attribute after creation.

i've made an add-on which covers this use case:
it adds "Curves Attributes" panel, identical to the "Attributues" in Curves data-block, and input fields for all combinations of attribute domain & types to edit selected values in the same fashion like it's done with Transform values in Item panel. it's currently paid, because i need to recover the time spent on it, but i agree that this is indeed something that should be built-in, and i'd love to contribute if i get enough resources for that
