Blender's great until you hit about "x million verts". Then basic tasks slow to a crawl
Might be nice?

Multithreading is being added to certain features over time (most recently it was implemented in the drawing of sculpt meshes) and Cuda's use in important rendering tasks is frequently updated.
"Just make Blender faster" is not a proposal. Everybody already knows Blender would benefit from being faster.
It would be more helpful to investigate crucial features that would benefit from (and are ABLE to be improved with) multithreading or Cuda implementation. Then you can implement it yourself or offer a detailed proposal. Do you know how multithreading/cuda would assist in drawing more verts? Do you even know whether multithreading is implemented there already? The more effort you put in to make it genuinely helpful, the better the reception on RCS tends to be.
