Merge End with Mesh Bevel
A problem I am running into quite often is, that mesh bevel creates n-gons at its ends. If you want to have triangles like in the wanted result for this proposal, it is currently necessary to do that manually. This can be annoying and timeconsuming like in the case at the left. My proposal is to introduce a new setting for the mesh bevel. "Merge Ends"

You can just turn on this little guy here to automatically merge vertices that are moved on top of each other:
It won't do it after the bevel, but you can just hit G>Enter to "move" the selection nowhere, which will trigger the auto-merge thing.
The thing with the auto merge would indeed work great for the case at the top left corner. The problem I have with this feature is that it happens to me quite often that it merged stuff I don't want to be merged. I would need to switch it on/off all the time. (Is there a way to set the distance for it?) And the other problem ist that it doesn't work for every case. For the case in the left bottom it is more or less the same effort like doing "merge to last".
A built in feature in the mesh boolean would work universal for more situations.
