Cycles PostProcess / Camera Lens Effects

Hi! I don't know if this is a technical limitation of Cycles itself, but having used other render engines like Corona,Vray, Redshift etc. they all have some sort of camera lens effects / post-processing implemented. I know that Blender compositor does give you some options like glare and/or bloom but it is painfully slow and limited and complicated. Wouldn't it be great to have those effects directly in the camera-settings and/or in a flyout which enables in renderview? Glare/Bloom with lens dust-scratches effects, when applied subtle of course, does give you very pleasing results in e.g. Corona or Vray and adds very much to photo-realism. I also miss an option to turn down the clipping highlights like Corona does with its "Highlight decompress" feature. I hope this is something the Cycles devs have in their minds and their to-do lists.

Wouldn't it just be better to make the compositor approach better? After all, if it's all post processing and Blender has a built-in compositor, that seems to make more sense.

* @Jason van Gumster * Yeah it doesn't matter what tool/menu is used, i just want post-processing implemented like the other "big" engines out there.

There is an addon (Real camera) that does that, more or less, already : 3d-wolf.com/products/camera.html But I agree that the compositor should be improved, it could be interactif (nodal to viewport directly) It could be used as a preview without having to do an actual render. Also, you can still use Eevee if you really want a close result to the final composited image.
