Auto activate Transparency in Eevee
When you add a transparency shader node the material's property should automatically change to (at least) Alpha Blended. As it is obviously the user's intent to have transparency. It can be quite confusing to a new user who just expects that transparency will be active when they add the transparent shader,

Actually, what's preventing to have alpha blend as default anyway?

it'd probably be better if transparency being enabled wasn't just tied to a transparency shader's presence, but explicitly being connected in the graph to the final output. similarly if the alpha value of a connected principled shader is anything other than 1 (or has a connected texture).
here's a proof of concept add-on:

it should just work automatically when installed. the only interface is a 'default blend mode' property to allow you to set the desired alpha mode to use when transparency is detected in a material:
I'd be satisfied with simply being able to put that property's dropdown box menu on the quick favourites menu.
That doesn't help newbies though * @thinsoldier *
