Copy to Clipboard in Image Editor
Do you ever have GIMP, Krita, Photoshop, etc. already open, and just need a quick lil cube? You render one out then have to save it to your desktop, THEN open it in your program, THEN paste it in, and THENNNN delete the 500 deleteme.png files on your desktop.
In the Image Editor, I propose a menu item for Image > Copy to Clipboard.

yes! I also wrote a proposal on this site, for the other way around: being able to paste into the image viewer
+1, so much!
Multi-platform clipboard handling is always a pain for devs, but it would help so much.
This would definitely make a lot of simple tasks not just go faster but feel better to do.
I've honestly procrastinated on doing basic things because Thinking about getting image files into blend became a hassle
I would like to re enforce this idea once more. I would love to implement a render to clipboard feature for the TexTools addon renderhjs.net/textools/blender/ . It has been a favuorite feature I was able to implement for 3dsMax.
Python solutions I found on the internet require additional libraries, only work for one platform or are very slow in execution.
This is now possible on Windows, but leaving the proposal open until it's possible to do it in all platforms.
On the Windows platform we can now copy and paste to/from clipboard in the Image Editor. projects.blender.org/blender/blender/pulls/105833
I'm wondering how this is not part of the software yet... I find myself continuously in need of this.
