Add handlers for Link/Append

Currently, it is not possible to catch when a new datablock is loaded (link or append) in the scene (or by doing some tedious reading when the depsgraph is updated). Allowing this automations could make much more easier advanced programming for app templates (like Stax) or addons, and strong integration with pipeline frameworks (like OpenPype).

Pipeline example: Loading a datablock in the scene would trigger the requested handler and will associate the pipeline metadata to the datablock. This metadata being used to handle entities references across DCCs. This way, Blender native loading functions can be used as easily as the pipeline framework utilities.

Passing as argument the list of imported datablocks:

  • bpy.app.handlers.link_post
  • bpy.app.handlers.append_post

IMO everything should have a handler

tonton

Awesome idea, this is a long awaited handler which could be helpfull for all asset managing addons.
I think this is really missing for now, and complicate depsgraph handler are for now the only way to do this...
Hoping this could make its way into master :D
