Properties Editor Scrolling

Every time I mouse over the tabs of the Properties Editor I intuitively use the scroll wheel to attempt to change which tab is currently selected. This doesn't do anything, but it is so intuitive that it should that I always end up doing this. I think that adding the functionality of allowing use of the scroll wheel to change between tabs would reduce the amount of unnecessary mouse movement (I am disabled, and these small movements really add up and decrease the amount of time that I can use a software) and it would also be more intuitive. I may be mistaken, but to my knowledge using the scroll wheel for this would not overlap with any existing actions that use the scroll wheel.
