Trouble with Geometry Nodes' Transform Node
Hi guys,
I am working on a parametric sci-fi corridor and, mostly, it works as expected; but I found a little kink at the end, which made me realize I wasn't all there yet. The models are 1 meter by 1 meter, for easier operation; but since these measurements are not in human scale, I decided to add a transform node between the last join-geometry (when everything is already fully processed) and the group output.
In the final animation, an empty controller triggers the doorways to open as it advances. When the last transform node's scale is set to 1, everything works as expected; but when I set the scale to approximate a human scale (or to any other number that is not 1), the scale operation works exactly as expected but the door-opening system gets out of sync with the actual doors; it almost seems as if the generated geometry needs to have the Scale transform applied! Also, I don't think I fully understand how the map range node operates.
Can anybody help with this issue? I really couldn't find anything online and I am totally at a loss. I am using Blender 3.1, with a GTX 1660 Ti. Please let me know if you require any further information; BLEND available on request.
Looking forward to your reply,
Sept

I think you posted this in the wrong place. Maybe you're looking for the support part of the blender artists forums or the blender.chat?
