Improved Bevel and Easy Bevel?
Beveling in Blender creates N-Gons ,which can be a big no no , to get around them people usually triangualte and then join triangles to make quads ..
But my proposal is to have another mode ,where it produces polygons when beveling

Maybe a simple F6 which will be at the top in 2.8 with an option for removing N-gons after bevel would also be a quick fix instead of adding two different bevel tools. If you keep it on it will always create real polygons after any new bevel.
I also find the n-gons to be super anoying. Having additional parameters to influence the topology would be awsome!
There'll be bevel improvements in this year's GSoC - you should propose this to Rohan Rathi summerofcode.withgoogle.com/projects/
i usually just pick the verts where i want the edges to be and press j. it joins the verts with an edge that's actually splitting the face.
i don't really mind n-gons on flat surfaces that aren't going to be animated but i wouldn't mind this for bevels.
using an N-gon for things like applied Boolean operations is something i'd likely not want an option on because those can get really messy without it but bevel tends to be pretty clean so this can save some time now and then.
the only question is if you want it this way or with a quad and one tri?
@Josh Strawbridge: that's why i proposed 2 different version of the bevel :P one where ngons don't matter and one where they do affect things
