Transform Pivot Point: Applied Mirror Median Point
This idea mainly stems from whenever I am trying to scale an object that has a mirror, it either becomes stretched or disconnected if clipping is disabled because it doesn't account for the mirrored vertices.
What I want it to do is act like you have both the mirrored and non mirrored vertices selected, so it would scale or rotate from the middle. Since there are some times where you wouldn't want the middle of the mirror (like editing parts that are not connected to its mirrored side) there can be a setting that will make it act like the regular median point when the selected vertices are not on the mirror plane.
This would be extremely helpful when working on characters and some other models.

YES! I've also thought about making a RCS post for precisely this feature but never got around to it. Obviously the 3D cursor is one current way around this, but this would be such a timesaver
