BISECT Overhaul Needed!

First to say i love the Blender mesh toolset as long as you stay in quad topology! But not everything is a perfect quad mesh.
Improving bisect and/or knife tools would help a lot specially for precise modelling, for patches, and for working with references from CAD-2d.

If you search for bisect/knife in this forum you can find numerous requests and proposals also some addons (TinyCAD, Mesh Tools...) addressing the shortcomings of bisect and knife.

What is missing for me:

  1. Basically SNAPPING for bisect .
  2. Snapping to objects OUTSIDE the currently edited mesh.
  3. Option to limit operation to a SELECTION.

Together with the basic constraints (limit axis/planes) almost all basic geometric operations should be achievable, intersections/projections between points/edges/planes/faces should be manageable.

Maybe even the knife could be extended to snap to objects outside? Guess knife and bisect should be separate tools? or maybe a "SUPERCUTTER" could do it all?
Would be great!

Himself wanted to create a similar theme. Very annoying lack of binding in Bisect tool. The tool is uncomfortable and incomplete.
