Where merge-by-distance was applied?

I have a model composed of multiple elements/geometries that when I apply merge-by-distance, it tells me that one single vertex has been merged. But where?

I was asking about this on Reddit and the only solution proposed so far would be to select different areas and apply merge-by-distance until the result is narrowed. But this is something that Blender appears to have the information within the functionality, it simply doesn't appear.

I think it could be workable to let merge-by-distance optionally select all merged vertices (and unselect the rest)

Amazing! This seems to me like something that the software already has the information in the background, it just hasn't been configured yet.

I think the solution should be in the selection menu Select>Select By Trait>"By Distance", giving you the option to filter false positive vertices before merging by distance.

I went through different channels trying to find this solution, if it is so well hidden I apologize. Otherwise, I think it's trivial that it could already be included in blender. According to a reddit user, the feature has existed on the 3DS max for a long time.

This page is for feature requests only. There are other channels for questions. BUT i would mind if there was a way to see the position of merged vertices ( overlay option maybe).

But this IS a feature request!
