GeoNodes - History Viewer / Node relations
Hi there, when reviewing someone else Geometry nodes graph, it is almost impossible to find out what is going on and how this was defined, due to the amount of existing nodes, socket connecting curves all over the place and even the random disposition of the nodes on the graph.
There is a simple solution to this issue and it would allow blender user to learn much faster how to use GeoNodes.
The solution we can find it in the software CATIA, which is a parametric CAD and it is the "Parent/Children" graph.
The way this should work in blender is the following:
While in Geometry nodes, you can select a node and activate:
"Parent/Children" or "View relations" or "Isolate", I leave the tool name to you.
Once activated, you will only see the current selected node in an "isolated view" plus its Parent and Children nodes, respectively placed to the left and the right of the current node. This way, we can quickly review what are the relations to the current node, regardless of the disposition in the Geonode graph.
While being in this "isolated node view" and reviewing the parent and children nodes, the user can also select the next node (a parent or a children) and from here, the isolated view would "jump" onto that selected node, so in the case the user has selected the children node, Blender would now focus on that node and display its parent/childrens to us.
Using this method, we can have a linear and focused way to read the Geonodes relations, which simplifies by a lot the readiness of a complex graphs.
Hopefully you all agree we need this.

Thank you for your attention. Cheers!
