Feature request: Introduce Gaussian blur background for menubar menus/context menus.
Only for menus, because macOS, Windows, and KDE desktop environments all use Gaussian blur menus as visual features. Gaussian blur can increase the agility and layering of the picture. At the same time, it also ensures cross-platform consistency and harmony with the visual language of each platform.
Gaussian blur consumes a certain amount of resources, so it can be turned off and limited to menus.

Blender being the kind of software that needs any resource you can give it to perform as best as possible, I wouldn't want to sacrifice those resources just to have some visual flourishes.
Please do explain why one needs to see a dark, blurry, frosted glass appearance behind a menu.
There are many who would find this look visually pleasing.
I wouldn't mind an option to enable it within my preferences -- alongside any potential explanation regarding the performance implications.
As much as I enjoy pretty UIs, I'm strongly against adding features that could significantly affect performance. It's a hard no from me!
Adding a frosted glass (blur) effect to the status bar border would further enhance the visual consistency.
