Render History in the “Image Editor” Window
I would like to propose the inclusion of a Render History feature in Blender’s “Image Editor” window. Unlike the Render Slots, this new functionality would accumulate all renders made during a project, allowing users to view them in a list and easily compare them.
Render History Features:
- Continuous Accumulation: Each render performed would automatically be added to the history. This is particularly useful for projects with multiple iterations or adjustments.
- Easy Comparison: The history would display all renders in an organized list. Users could compare them side by side to evaluate changes, improvements, or variations.
- No Slot Replacement: Unlike Render Slots, the Render History would not overwrite previous renders. Each render would be saved individually, making it easier to review and select later.
Benefits:
- Efficiency: Avoid losing renders when switching slots. All renders are recorded in the history.
- Informed Decision-Making: By comparing renders, users can choose the best version for their project.
- Visual Tracking: See the evolution of renders throughout the creative process.
I hope this proposal contributes to enhancing the Blender user experience.
