Share render time.

I hope the idea is new and above all good.

I wish that Blender can do the following in the future:

The ability to have my blend file rendered by the Blender community, at the push of a button.

To make this possible I have to make my computer available to members as a workhorse for rendering. With it I load up my render time account in the community, so to speak.

It should be a rendering program that runs in the background and can be set so that it does not bother me. The PC load should be flexible and if necessary also dimmable.

If I need render time myself, my blend file will be distributed to several PCs in the community and rendered according to the priority I choose.

Low selected priority will be rewarded a little bit to create an incentive not to render always at the limit. For example, this will give you a little more computing power for your own account balance, even if with a slightly lower priority.

Whoever wants to can also give free render time to the community by pressing the head button. Buying rendering time has to be explicitly excluded in this network. We do not make a business out of it,

Addendum: I sometimes don't work with Blender for weeks on end and could provide enormous amounts of render time during that time. And when the time comes, I have an enormous amount of render time at my disposal with a full render time account to move my project forward at the speed of light.

Just imagine how powerful this tool is.

* @ xan2622 * I took a cursory look at it. Yes, it's a nice way to render, but unfortunately it has some limitations and that clouds the joy that it exists. Scripts and particle caches cannot be uploaded to make an example

* @rtdietrich * I've been using sheepit for a while - despite the limitations on upload it's still a very effective (and mature) solution, it's obvious a ton of work has gone into it

2

* @rtdietrich * You can zip the cache with relative path setting and upload it to sheepit.

It's a free cloud computing solution, it's already a damn miracle that it not only exists, but also works wells, and has a massive active community running behind and an active dev team. Don't expect the specs of an industrial grade render farm.

krimegxen

simply it;s cloud computing lol
