Create polygroup in blender by drawing/assigning a border using vertex paint. ( Part 2/Faster retopology )
Hello guys. I would like to propose a feature that would allow a user to draw/assign a border using vertex paint, which would then be used as data basis for the retopology.
As much as possible the program will try to create a loop around each polygroups, also keeping the poles limited and only available in the borders/seams.

3d model sample
2.
Draw the border using vertex paint.
3.
Activate polygroup
When polygroup is activated the program will then calculate the vertex group using the previously drawned information.
The program can have two types of polygroup
- ) Separate polygroups into different objects.
- ) Make polygroups one object.
I am not entirely sure about the complexity of this tool which also includes the programming difficulty. Just want to put it out here maybe in the near future blender developers might be interested in implementing a program similar to this.
Thanks.

Facemap (Polygroups) are in development developer.blender.org/D6070
Quadriflow remesh guidelines are also in development developer.blender.org/D6158
But they are in early stages Nonetheless Your proposal might be doable in not so distant future.
