Grease Pencil - Auto-merge mouse pointer and snap

In Draw mode there is the "Automerge" option that will automatically connect the next drawn stroke with the previous strokes' start or end point if it is within a certain distance (in the active layer).

It would be very useful if the mouse pointer changed to reflect that the mouse is within that "certain distance".

Currently, if the mouse is at the max distance for the merge to happen, a line is connected from the previous point to the mouse position when connecting. I propose that if the SHIFT key is pressed at that time the mouse snaps to the previous points location. This would especially useful when connecting lines, arcs, curves and polylines.
