Material / Array Data Socket
When mixing many Materials together in Blender it can get very messy. There are two ways around this. One is to mix bettween the BSDFs, which has the downside to be very slow to compile with Eevee. You also lose controll over the individual Channels to adjust.
Another solution is to make node groups with the materials and make a group to mix them. Then plug every Channel into it. Like this:
Note in all below the node socket types of the Material Nodes arent always corrent, sometimes Color or Float)
Then I can Adjust the individual Channels at any time. The downside to this is that it gets very very messy.
It would be more convenient to be able to merge all of these channels into a Material Type and mix beetween them or Seperate them to make indivdual adjustments.
Something like that:
A more elegant way of changing individual Channels would be to add a Get Channel and Merge Channel Node.
I think this also doens't have to be limited to be a Material, in general this could be a array / list node where you can combine your own Material or Collection of Attributes.
I know this isn't trivial to implement but I think it would make the node editors a lot more readable. Maybe there could be a version which just implements this on the UI level, and when compiling it convert the nodes to the tree in the first image
