Vertex transformation relativ to the 3D Cursor

Hello blender community!

I am currently setting up my new flat and use blender to model and architect the rooms and interior. Therefore, I have to be precise. Usually I want to set or place objects/vertices/my mesh selection relative to something.

I did some search and also came across the following request, which is actually exactly what I would need:
blenderartists.org/t/vertex-transformation-relativ-to-the-3d-cursor/516915

The same question was also raised here:
blender.stackexchange.com/questions/147581/how-can-i-translate-vertex-coordinates-relative-to-the-3d-cursors-coordinates/

Mesh transformation based on Global and Local is already possible. Doing transformations based on the 3D Cursor would be a great addition.
(it is not possible with v2.81 yet)

What do you think?

Best regards,
~ Manuel

Originally I was a little confused at how this would be useful, but after thinking about it this would be a really nice feature, especially if Blender decides to make a push to make it's tools better for Autocad style design.

I remember experimenting with using Blender for an Autocad workflow and one of the biggest hassles was the fact that technical drawings will, for example, give a gap between 2 sides in inches apart relative to each other , but in Blender you need to do math to convert that so it can be relative to the cursor . This proposal would help a lot in those situations.
