Suggestion for the new quick driver operation
In the new Driver operation( through the Eyedropper), the property will as same as the target, and it's not often to used, usually we should change that by manual in the graph editor, So I make one draft in flow image, and in this idea, we can changer map ranger through the option panel, or press F6 to change this quickly, this will change the Driver's F-Curve by directly, will better for use.

We should probably stick to terminology that Blender already uses. For instance, the Graph Editor already offers bidirectional linear extrapolation (<kbd>Shift</kbd>+<kbd>E</kbd> > Linear Extrapolation). I could see some benefit in offering the ability to limit that extrapolation in only the positive or negative directions. Technically, though, that is also already possible using the Cycles modifier on a curve in the Graph Editor.
To that end, I don't think we need a new feature... just quicker access to the existing features.
Likewise for linear interpolation to continue as before infinitely can constant be used to stay where it was last infinitely. As mentioned would only the access to these need to be simplified which might even be doable with an addon that adjust the newest driver or something like that through an F6 like operator panel.
