Modeling from 2D profile
This is a feature request.
I really don't know if this has already been requested here, if it were I'm sorry, but there it goes anyway.
many years ago I was introduced to a small java program called TEDDY from Takeo Igarashi, I thought it was amazing in its simplicity and I'm sure Blender can benefit a lot from its paradigm.
It is as basic as you draw a 2D profile and it will become 3D. I think there is room for a lot of improvement parting from this premisse. I've made some samples to show its capabilities and below is also a link for site of the original developer, Takeo Igarashi, with more detailed information about the program. www-ui.is.s.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~takeo/teddy/teddy.htm

I would really appreciate if you could look carefully into it.
Thank you, Wenderson Sobreira

I think that this could be implemented with Grease Pencil. Maybe a Grease Pencil Modifier?

Would be cool. In zBrush there is a tool called ShadowBox where you can draw the shape of an object from different sides with a mask on three sides of the provided projection cube and software generates geometry based on all 3 sides(front, side, top) with technique similar to how VoxelRemesh works in Blender. In shadowBox you can even import a reference to the sides of this cube to draw projections based on your own sketches. I actually used that tool a lot couple years back. Very practical.
If we have result as an intersection - that makes it easier to set more complex shapes. I mean in sculpting we already can get starting basic shape quickly with other methods, but this approach has more artistic control and many people use Blender to get something visual fast anyway, so it fits well.
In fact, we probably could use same code that is used in our VoxelRemesh - just spawn some cubes or something for volume at the intersection of the given projections and expose it all to VoxelRemesh. Cubes density and remesh quality could be adjusted via resolution parameter. Or really do everything based on MetaBalls, if it suddenly turns out better.
0_o Grease pencil to metaballs !! This is a refreshing idea 👏 I wonder how hard it would be to implement
* @Romain Guimbal * If we think about it, is already implemented in java, maybe just translate the code to Blender python. Just to get it working right away

Can this export the model?
* @thinsoldier * Yes it saves OBJ. Its easily usable. But it would be nice to have something like this inside blender.
