Make Bone Constraint application less modal / 'paper cut' removal

Is there a compelling reason you can only apply Bone Constraints in Pose Mode?

If there isn't I suggest that it be made possible in both Pose Mode and Edit Mode. For me this is a nasty little speed bump/paper cut

It's probably a side effect of bone data structure; there's actually 3 of them, not one with different modes (editbone, bone, and posebone) edit bones only exist in edit mode , pose bones only in pose mode (I think, less sure of this) - so it could be that there is no 'pose' to hang the data structure on. It's obviously cached, since otherwise your constraints would dissapear when entering edit mode. (I'm just wondering what the 'compelling reason' is - of course it would be nice to avoid mode toggles if it makes sense)

I feel it's kind of because edit mode shows the bones "as is" while the pose mode shows the bones + constraints influence. Though to be honest I'm not sure if there needs to have this distinction most of the time, but I'm not a senior rigger.

* @-L0Lock- * , since users can freely move between Pose and Edit themselves, I don't see any reason they shouldn't be allowed to add Bone Constraints while in Edit mode.
