Measure between two vertex
Actually if we want to know the measure between two vertex, we need to add all measures there are between each two vertex.
Would be possible there are a option for to know the measure between the first and the last vertex selected?
When we merge vertex to last or first the program know wich is the last and first selected vertex, with the same method it would measure the distance between this two vertex, walking the same path it uses for selection between two vertex with ctrl+click

Be careful here: People in this thread are confuting the Measure tool (On the tool bar) with the MeasureIt Add On.
The Measure Tool has to be manually positioned, but looking at comments below, you can position the ruler with snap using Ctrl key. The MeasureIt Add-On will also measure across any two selected verts.
In short - Blender provides two ways to achieve this already..
Isn't the measure tool exactly for that?
* @jerzy.gorski.art * not. The measuring tool has to be in orthographic mode to have a relatively close to exact result and will never be as accurate as this method because you never exactly click on the vertex
* @Paco BG * yes. The measuring tool is exactly for this. If you click and drag, you create a measurement line. Then you can move its ends afterward. And if you hold Ctrl, it will snap to vertices edges and faces.
* @Paco BG * I didn't look carefully. Currently I believe you have to do it manually to get the total measurement. This proposal is good.
You need to measure, add up, and take the square root!
The add-on "measure it", which is built into blender, does that.
