point and click to create single instances of selected object

Edit: Ignore this, it's already there under particle edit mode!

point and click to create single instances of selected object or a random object if multiple objects are selected.

Quick for accurate model distribution without the need for setting up a particle system. Also it's difficult to use particles to get single objects with weight maps for density, so this would be a much faster solution when you don't need to scatter a large number.

You mean like a clone tool? This would be awesome. Especially if it follows snapping settings.

Just to let you know, it already exists in Blender! Particle edit mode. Lay down your particle system, go into particle edit mode, and there you can add or cut particles in clumps or individually.
