Colorblind support

I'm not colorblind but apparently, 300million people in the world are. That is quite a lot. And apparently, a lot of them also do CG stuff.

I'm not sure if this goes for every operating system and how good it is but Windows does have this kind of option.

Most of the UI isn't that problematic since it's in grayscale. But the parts that are in color need some more attention.

Here is an example of a problem: Original.png

Deuteranopia, Protanopia and Achromatopsia are the worst in this example.

How to fix this?

  • Add a colorblind specific hue shift option
  • Add more icons/symbols for different states on the sides

I basically ignore all the colors because of this. There was a proposal about colored lines in the node editor, they would be meaningless to me.

You can just use/create theme with different colors. UI colors are customizable, those probably also changeable.

There could be buildin color blind theme, but someone have to make it.
