Open Second Blender Instance from File Menu
I can open as many simultaneous blender projects as I want from the windows file explorer, but I see no possible way to open a second NEW file (other than just creating a default file to open from the windows explorer).
If I could just go File -> New -> OPEN NEW FILE without closing my current, that would be heavenly.
USE CASE: I'm working on a complex scene and want to quickly open a new blender file (without closing my project) to model an asset. My current workaround to do this by either opening a previous version of blender from my taskbar or even another project from my drive (and then subsequently going File->New on that project)

You can always use more than one scene (scene-new scene) and switch when needed.
Not really what I'm asking for -- think of it like opening a new photoshop file to scribble inside, instead of creating a new layer in my current project. I don't want to make any changes to my blend file. I just want to open a new one without closing it.
But you can just start the program again.
Not in Mac OS.
True.
@r4ptor whole point is to not close what i'm working on!!!
