Lattice modifier that follows the shape of the object.
What about if you select an object press the lattice modifier, lattice instantly finds out your selected object shape and follows it and it links it to it.

Hi. There is a community addon that I think comes with blender call Simple Lattice that does exactally that. You can also find it here. github.com/BenjaminSauder/SimpleLattice
I try to use a blender with as few community addons as possible. and its is very basic modeling function.
There are many requests for this as well as general helpers for modifiers. For the time being Modifier List addon (included) offers a way to create automatic linked latices from the modifier panel. Empties for the rest of the modifiers too can be made the same way.
