"Do Nothing" option for Quad Corner Type in Subdivide tool
In most cases (or at least in some cases) you don't need any of this strange pattern which Subdivide generate on adjacent faces.

I won't say "most of cases", because in a lot of cases you don't want to create ngons and the ideal would be that the tool "repairs" the topology.
That should be as the form of options, as not only you may want some kind of "repair" or no repair at all, but also you may want to choose between different repair patterns, like nowadays triangles fans, or a quad gird, or..,
