"Open Recent" needs to show more files
It's a bit hard to explain, but when using the "Open Recent" menu or looking at the list of recent files in the splashscreen, I often notice it doesn't have the most recent file I had open in Blender.
Maybe a clearer example would help:
I often save my files incrementally, so I might open
file_v001.blend
, then save incrementally up to version 10 by the end of the day when I close Blender. Then the next day when I open Blender, the menus will only show
file_v001.blend
and nothing else. Which is misleading and can lead to mistakes sometimes if you don't remember which last version you worked on, you open what Blender tells you is the most recent, but it actually isn't and you might spend time working on an older file or think you lost data but actually you just were given the wrong "most recent".
It seems to me that it only shows the files for which I did the action of opening the file. But not the files which were in the state of being open in Blender.

Sounds like a bug. Recent files should sort by the most recent file you've worked on.
Please report it.
Is that a bug? The saved incremental files show up fine in my list of recent files
