UNHIDE selected Object(s) ("H" to toggle visibility on selected object(s))
I am amazed, that it does not seem to be possible to UNHIDE one/multiple selected object(s) in Blender. UNHIDE all objects seems to be the only option, which is stupid imho. When you do lookdev, you need to HIDE and UNHIDE objects, lights or what ever to test things out quickly. So, for example using the "H" for toggling the viewport visibility for selected object(s) would be an option. EDIT: When you press H now, it hides the selected objects. When you hit H once more, nothing happens. I suggest, when you hit H a second time, it will toggle the selected objects visibility. If you press ALT+H you will have the same, old behavior.

I definitely agree with this idea! There's nothing to unhide select object doesn't make sense.
I agree with Oliver - look at how Maya does it. For blender: press H to toggle an object's/vert's/younameit's visibility. It is annoying to have to individually hide everything after having pressed Alt+H. You can also do an automatic deselect on the objects/verts/whatever that have been hidden, that way you don't have to worry about what to do on a second key press of H. It's also more intuitive to the user that way I reckon. Bonus points for being able to do this from the outliner as well.
why is this still not implemented ;(( what nonsense
How would a user activate this option? What if the user wants the current behavior?
You've described the problem in your post, but you really haven't fleshed out a real solution and described how it would work in Blender.
Well, my suggestion does not touch the old behavior, does it? When you press H now, it hides the selected objects. When you hit H once more, nothing happens. I suggest, when you hit H a second time, it will toggle the selected objects visibility. If you press ALT+H you will have the same, ode behavior. Fleshed out enough?
@Oliver Weingarten: What happens if you select something else before pressing <kbd>H</kbd> the second time? Does that thing get hidden, too? And does a third press of <kbd>H</kbd> only bring back that one thing?
* @Jason van Gumster * Good point. My suggestion is:
This is exactly how this should work.
