Blender does not have the ability to update itself and many users including I are annoyed and want to be able to update Blender from itself

There is autoupdate solution on every platform.
Eg. Windows Store, Steam, Snap (linux)
Also i believe that using newest is not best option for most users since updates break add-ons and change things in non always backward compatible way.
Even if there shouldn't be an option to update Blender from within the software itself, it would be good to have some kind of notification that a new version has been released.
Why do you need an update feature? Download a new version and install, import your preferences, done.
It would be useful at least for Blender to check for updates, even if it doesn't install them.
There's a link in the Help menu that goes directly to the blender website, showing the latest release version. All you have to do is click it.
