Liberate the "I"-key
There are plans to give every key-able button an icon. Good for handicapped people. They need to navigate to a button by tab-ing there. So keyframing should get easier for those artists. My question: Do we then still need the shortcut "I"? There are other (high frequented) functions that have no shortcut either, e.g. smooth shading. That's a bad example, i know, since it has nothing to do with the letter i, but keyframe hasen't either. Yes, yes, "insert ...", i know. Anyway, the discussion is started. Fight! PS.: No, you don't need that button for posing. You can auto-keyframe. Next argument please ;)

I do need a keyframe button because I prefer to explicitly set keys. Auto keyframe, while convenient, can also too frequently set keys when you don't intend to.
So, no, there should remain a hotkey for inserting a keyframe... at least in an animation workflow.
@Jason van Gumster: We could add a button for that next to each bone. I learned that cluttering the viewport is no problem ;)
