Bezier Curve Extrusion
This has been a long time without attention, I would love to see nicer extrusions on curve objects, particularily with sharp corners. Here you can see the current narrowing of extrusion on a 3D or flat curve at the corners. While the overlaps maybe unavoidable the width should be consistent. Furthermore, 2D curve will always extrude perpendicular and not offer this ability.
A 2D beveled curve will provide better interpolation with consitent width, howver this is not flat but diamond profiled.
The same beveled curve as a 3D type reverts to the problems with extrusion.

D9678: Bevel on curves does not create distorted geometry anymore
* @h.goudey * Great to see its in good hands
* @h.goudey * will it give same results when using it with the curve deform modifier? or it just works on the beveled curve?
* @juanmanuellynch * That just applies to the curve bevel as far as I know.
