Graph editor should have a speed curve option, like in after effects and maya.
I think it would be really helpful for us animators if there were an option to display and interpolated speed curve like the ones seen in Maya and After Effects.
Currently the manual adjustments take too much time for figuring out whats happening to make fast changes.
In after effects the speed graph shows the interpolated speed between keyframes and maps them vertically. So if I move something from left to right I can go to the speed graph to see how fast its going from left to right. If I need it to go faster I adjust the curve to be an upward curve. Right now since the graph is mapped to the frames and the world position sometimes to speed up I have to have an upward curve and sometimes a downward curve, This is unnecessarily confusing.
Something like this would be greatly appreciated mamoworld.com/motion-graphics-ebook/assets/gifs/motion_easing_speed_vs_value_graph_straight_line.gif

This is a feature that I really miss on Blender, It's extremely useful for animation and motion design stuff, I hope that Blender Devs are going to make this feature in the future!
Agreed! Currently the focus of the animation module is on polish, fixing bugs, and making UX and UI enhancements, since this necessary work always gets 'put off till the next refactor' This feature is indeed a good idea (think about how useful it is for animating rotations for instance) but needs to wait for that refactor (it is big enough to be cumbersome to the current system, especially considering other needed improvements)
