Make the eyedropper tool available in add-ons via Python
The eyedropper tool has been recently introduced in developer.blender.org/T37521 to select a scene object as the value for a property.
However it's not possible to offer the eyedropper to Blender users in add-ons via Python. So I suggest to fix that.
The problem has been referenced in a number of questions at blender.stackexchange.com : blender.stackexchange.com/questions/30487/ blender.stackexchange.com/questions/34762/ blender.stackexchange.com/questions/41242/

Great idea! I think it would make sense if it was implemented as part of this other proposal: rightclickselect.com/p/scripting/Sfbbbc/new-property-type:-idpointerproperty
As an add-on developer I upvoted your feature request. However I think our feature requests are technically independent.
Would this be automatically added (perhaps toggleable with a boolean value) as part of a datablock selector widget, or would this be a whole new widget altogether?
I'm for automatical seamless addition of the eyedropper in every occurance of the object field made with prop_search(..). Currently the eyedropper is available for all built-in object fields (e.g. in modificators, constraints).
