Improve bezier tools
1.
To edit your spline you have to use a lot of shortcuts and clicks
- Extrude a point = E + drag
- Delete point = X + confirm
- Move = select + G + drag OR select + click + drag (when move tool is selected)
- Cut = select two points and use subdivide
(could not find a cut tool for splines)
2.
Proposal: Add new tool which combines multiple operations
- Click = adds new point
- Click and drag = moves point and handles immediately
- Ctrl + click = removes point
- Ctrl + click = makes cut on specific location

* @ xan2622 * goooooooood!
Nevil has made a nice 3dsMax interface emulator that includes this kind of functionality. Check it out.
It sure is nice being able to freely draw a spline instead of starting out with something completely useless. All of the other primitives in blender are useful, but has anyone ever used a spline primitive as is? A straight line would be more useful than the arbitrary shapes we're given.
* @Pablo Vazquez * This is now implemented in Blender 3.2 could a moderator change the status of this?
yeah some day Boolean works too..props stable work r.thx...
Where is this in Blender 4.1? I can't see the icons in Object Mode.
It's in Edit Mode
Why is the line drawing tool in edit mode? Can it split 3D shapes or do something special? Shouldn't this be in object mode? As we add new things there.
Can i upvote this twice?
* @Buster Friendly * please don't multi-account
Free cut is extremely desirible. Also there is Ctrl+Click (right click) to add new point now. Fast delete (Alt+Click) is useful too I prefer this system: selected point + neigbours. {attachment 3175656jpg}
Missing simple things f.e. merge or join or bridge two points or segments or objects in edit mode converting to poly is to often needed...good bezier Tools development is cool idea and making blender great again...sry I must say this...wfG...
I like this proposal too!
by double-clicking on a point, to make a right angle or rounded, so it would also be good.
Oh, yeah
This is one of the things that I want the most in Blender. A proper bezier tool.
* @Sebastian Moll * Hi. Have you tried this addon ?

It would also be nice to add some 2d shapes where you can decide to have it filled or just an outline.
@danielpaulus90 : It just took me 2 seconds to upvote your suggestion. Please Blender devs, please, add this feature.
please
So we can finally use the curves ! do it please
Not a big fan of enhancement keys, but. I wish for a Ctrl key to only move the handles. This would separate the verts from the handles. You would have to hold down the Ctrl key to move the handles. Also I can't find a option to toggle off sticky handles. I would love to turn off sticky bezier handles
Cinema 4d hel yeah
nice one dude. In my opinion these manual things are also helpful compared to just having one option where the basic curve line is suddenly generated at the viewport.
Yes please. And can you can use some of the code from the Mesh: Snap_Utilities_Line add_on as it has just had some huge updates (#105129 & 368fe93ffd) and looks like it might be able to be used in this type of situation. As it is a mesh line tool it can draw and close polylines but also make 3D shapes. It would be cool if this was the default mesh line tool though.
