close collection or select collection object

so if i have 200 objects in a collection and i select one in the 3d viewport, let that show in the outliner, i have to have a "close collection" option in the right mouse or "jump to the collection object".

thanks!

We do already have "Show Active" as in the Outliner > Contextual menu > View submenu. Though I don't know why it's named like that while in the Viewport we have an operator doing the same thing but named "Frame Selection" which I think is more accurately named.

It's usable using . , and it should be usable using the contextual menu too, but I just discovered that using Right 🖱️ in the outliner tends to select whatever we click, which ruins the intended action.

I reported this as a bug, we'll see how it goes:
#134055 - RMB in outliner selects objects in addition to showing contextual menu - Blender Projects

Bug aside, if that's what you are looking for, please edit your proposal to set its status as "Done", otherwise still edit your post but to explain why this solution isn't making it for you and what would be needed.

hey, i only find "show active" in the outliner filter options. And with the "frame selected" in the 3d viewport "View" tab i only show the complete selected element in the view. i try to explain it once again. i select an object in the 3d viewport. then i go with the mouse over the outliner and press the "." key. so i get here the selected object shown. and now i want a right click menu that let me either close the collection or jump to the collection object. if you have more hundred of objects in a collection you have to scroll and scroll up to get to the collection object.

...sorry i wrote "close selection" instead of "close collection". i corrected this...
