Welcome to Blender.Today !

We hope you like the new furniture.

What happened?

We've just moved to a new place. Isn't it beautiful? Blender.Today is now part of Blender.Community , an independent community aggregator. Over the last 2 years Blender.Today has grown so much, we hope it will continue growing here and be part of a bigger family.

Blender.Today keeps its identity. Same people, same spirit. You decide what makes the news.

Who else?

With a new home comes new neighbours. We are extremely happy to have RightClickSelect as the very first community to move in with us.

Blender.Community is all about diversity. Who's that Spanish-speaking fella in the back? It's Blender Hoy ! The new corner of the web where Spanish speaking Blenderheads get to hangout. New communities for specific topics and languages are already lined up and you (and your community) are more than welcome to move in with us! Drop a message at contact@blender.community and tell us why your community belongs here.

Who is making this?

The same old team as Blender.Today . Pablo Vazquez and Francesco Siddi with the new addition of Dalai Felinto . This makes Blender.Community a true * “by Blenderheads for Blenderheads” * project, where we are all contributing as volunteers (and so can you! )

Why?

Because we want to provide a free (and open source) space for Blender communities to grow, be independent and stay connected at the same time.

What changed?

• 🤗 Multiple Communities
• 🏷️ Multiple Categories (tags)
• 🎨 Multiple Themes - Try the dark theme!
• 🌎 Multiple Languages - Spanish and Portuguese so far (based on your browser)

But wait, there's more:

• NEW: Fully Searchable : Site-wide and per community
• NEW: Emojis! 🦄
• Better Navigation : Browse & view at the same time
• Improved Automatic Media Embedding
• Improved Mobile Experience
• Improved Rating System

And even more is planned:

• Your own homepage: Follow your favorite communities (at the moment, the frontpage shows posts from all communities)
• Save Drafts
• More sorting options
• Achievements / Badges
• Community Moderators

Even though we believe this is a pretty solid beta , some things still need testing so let us know if you find anything too weird.

We hope you will enjoy the new Blender.Today and join us in this exciting journey ahead!

The Blender.Community team 🚀
