What's your Blender file structure?
Staying organized in Blender is a big deal. (Or any 3D software for that matter.) A BIG part of organization is file structure. One off the aspects I like about some other 3D software out there (forgive me) would be the uniform file structure. For example in Maya, when you create a project a file structure is automatically created (and customizable.) When you go to save a scene, or an image, or whatever, it's automatically placed in the proper place for that element. That not only keeps things organized, but makes transferring files across servers and what not incredibly easy! This is important in a production environment with files being passed back and forth constantly.
Do you have a uniform file structure for your projects? Here's the one I've come to use. Could something like this be implemented as a default when creating a new scene in Blender? Something like a "create project structure" checkbox. Then when you click save on the scene, image, cache or whatever, it will start you in the proper folder.
