Rendering problem
Hi! I made an animation over some motion-tracked footage and want to export it as a PNG image sequence with a transparent background. When I RENDER ANIMATION it includes the original footage in the render which I dont want. When I export just one frame it renders as I want with just the objects, shadows etc. I X-ed the ACTIVE CLIP in the SCENE settings but it keeps rendering it! any ideas?

did you enable: render properties>film>transparent? do you use the compositor or sequencer? it is a little bit difficult to say what is going on without seeing the scene. Or maybe check the output settings for your .png . Did you enable rgba? Good luck!
thanks for your reply! Yes, transparent is on, and RGBA is set. pulling my hair out ha ha ha ha. Thing is, I'm not sure where the active clip is in terms of the scene, by that I mean it's not in the list of the scene collection where my objects are. Apart form the scene settings, can I see this anywhere else? thanks v v much
solved! it's the compositing option in OUTPUT PROPERTIES - POST PROCESSING. or you can detach the node which contains the clip in the COMPOSITING screen
o.k. I can not tell you without the scene. One thing i can imagine is that you use the compositor or sequencer. If you disable them under "output properties>post processing" what happens?
o.k.. :) your second reply came after my last. Happy blending!
would be cool if you add [solved] in your post headline ;)
have a good time!
