Tips! Tips! Tips! From Lightwave to Blender!
Hi, I did a project last week and it was the first time in a year that I missed Lightwave a little. Man I love Blender, no worries!
But 2 awesome tips for the dev team!
Tip number 1:
- Choose a framerate, like 25 fps and then choose play at exact speed (it is allowed then for Blender to skip frames if eevee can't play at chosen framerate! In this way you always can see the real speed of the animation!
From Lightwave: Play at Exact Rate is a setting that applies only to the real-time playing of your scene through the frame controls in Layout. With this active, Layout will make sure the playback is at exactly the FPS you have set in your Frames Per Second option ...
Tip number 2:
- An option in graph editor to see the speed/ velocity curves - this would make it much easier to tweak/ adjust your keyframes/ animation! See link at sec 40! youtube.com/watch
Thanks!!!

Dev team: what do you think about my tip 2? This is really really handy and an essential tool!
Good ideas. Maya also has the ability to drop frames in order to maintain frame-rate, which I use all the time. You might want to post these as individual requests to Right Click Select, since Blender Today is meant for news and updates.
