Still cycles, on older hardware Eevee isnt a lot faster and needs more memorry.
Also when doing VFX, cycles is a lot more real.
Maybe a more NPR (less realism, but just aimed at fast rendering), for all kind of fun commericals might be nice, Eevee is kinda of a cycles onebee, which maybe is not ideal for all kind of animations, although if you have the hardware its nice.
I hope with 2.8 more blender render engines will emerge.
