Video Sequencer and audio
Hi all,
I am collecting blend-scenes inside the sequence editor. All blend-scenes, so no rendered video. These scenes are all animated to audio. However, the audio does not appear when I add the scene to the sequencer timeline. The audio does not seem to import. Am I doing something wrong?

As far as I know the only way the audio can be added into a scene for animating is with an in-file sequence editor. Which means it's a separate editor. And perhaps blender doesn't know ( yet ) to read this audio from there.
What I do when I animate is I have the audio in the main sequence always. And then for animating I export just the chunk of the audio into the animation file. You can set the start and end frames to where you want the next shot to be. Then press Render > Render Audio to get this part out. And load THIS into the file for animation. So when you put the scene ( or a rendered shot ) back into the sequencer. The audio is already in place.
Thank you! I hope blender will learn how to import the audio from a scene. And I dig your workaround! (with the emphasis on 'work', because it is a lot of needless work.) It might be of use to me in some cases. In others, I will just hop over to Davinci and edit the sound there.
By saying that it's needless work you made me want to do a plugin for it. LOL.
