How to keep being motivated?
Hi guys,
Im trying to learn blender now for a few years through tutorials. Unfortunately I keep stopping at a certain point. Then I go back and I feel like have to start from scratch. Its very demotivating. I would love to get ahead and start creating awesome animations. Any advice from you guys on how to keep going?

Alright, so the key is to be consistent. Do not start with a huge project, because you'll probably abandon in sometime in the future anyway because of lack of skills. Start with something small, animate balls, simple animations and work your way up. Follow a lot of tutorials and start by yourself only small projects, nothing big - as I mentioned above. Also don't worry about mistakes.
Consistency = the key.
thanks guys for the tips How much time do you spend on blender each day?
* @sabbatical1986 * Depends, I have it as a hobby (as I don't have a job yet, I'm a student) so if I have a good mood and time I can spend up to 6 hours easily. But sometimes it just doesn't feel right and everything get messed up really quickly, so at that point I just close it and have a break for a day or two.
Wanna be a great animator? do small shorts, try to tell any story, as long as you convey the message your job as animator is being exercised!
the rest is just matter of time, also try to discard any expectations. There's a saying for drawing artists that goes like "Every artist has 1000 bad drawings inside of them. So sit down and get them out right now, so you can get to do the good ones! "
Start with a simple object to model. Like the Blender Gurus Donut. But never save the work. This forces you to start from scratch each time. The redundancy of each step is how you learn the software. youtube.com/watch
* @othoap * That's a good way to learn, not a funny one though, Imagine making the donut for 15th time, and it's still not done. That's a way how to be frustrated and demotivated, not full of joy.
***@Drax *** I understand but the goal is to learn not make a donut.
* @othoap * The goal is to work, work and work. One lesson won't make you a pro. Having fun and enjoying what you're doing is in my opinion better that learninf and learning. At least that's my point of view. :)
