Exploring a Computable Coordinate(Frame) Object for Blender’s Geometry Processing

Hello Blender Community,

I’d like to share a personal project that might be relevant to Blender’s geometry algorithms: Coordinate-System: A Computable Coordinate(Frame) Object:

github.com/panguojun/Coordinate-System/

I feel that in practice, it serves as a method that can efficiently simplify coordinate transformations and complex differential geometry problems.

I’m new to the community and really looking forward to engaging with everyone. I also hope this project can find its place in practical applications.

Thanks!

it seems like a very useful library, but I'm confused what benefits it has over the matrix transformations that we currently use under the hood. what are the differences or benefits of using this as compared to the standard matrix transforms or quaternions?

actually re-reading the page, I understand now that this can also analyze differential fields with tensors, so I do understand the difference

This computable frame field is expected to transform sophisticated differential geometry into an equivalent form that ordinary programmers can grasp and compute, enabling efficient numerical calculations. You can use AI to attempt solving some profound geometric or physical problems with this method— the results will amaze you.
