There's a big part of architectural visualization community wanting to move to Blender but there's a lack of small things like better and simpler tone mapping, triplanar mapping, guessing vertical tilt etc. (
there's more on blenderartist
). Implementing of these features and tutorials about this specific part of CG would bring thousands people to Blender!
In "Eevee & Viewport" module there's "Viewport compositor" on the roadmap. Is there any info what would it be? Compositor effects rendered directly in viewport, also with Cycles?
Is there a chance for Optix completness for 2.90, especially support for bevel and ao shader?
Has Brecht any plans for implementing caustics in Cycles? ;)
PS Thank you for video recaps, qucik to watch & very informative!

<h6>Hi Pablo,
Last week I asked if a <b>Quadrangulation algorithm library could be implemented in Blender</b> and you said you would show to one of the developers, so <b>what did the developer say?</b>
I also wanted to ask, there is a pose brush in Sculpt mode, should there be something similar for Grease pencil, it would make animating easier
*
@mpintorizvi
* I think the sheer number of shortcuts it uses might be problematic?
But
even just putting 2 or 3 of its most-used functions into default Blender would be amazing!
(e.g. Ctrl-Shift-Click for node preview)

Hi Pablo and Dalai. Amazing show(:
Recently I found an amazing addon which is in development, which makes collaborative working possible.
gitlab.com/slumber/multi-user
I was wondering if there are plans to implement something similar in future releases.

Hey Pablo, thank you for the code dives and the video on how to build the source code, but is it possible to make tutorials on what which code files are doing and changing them without breaking the code?

Hi Pablo! Hi Dalai! (Greetings from Brazil!) How are you doing? I've been following the Blender development at
developer.blender.org
and I wonder why Light Linking is not one of the priorities of Cycles development (correct me if I'm wrong). Isn't there any chance we can see this feature been implemented in next releases? It's so expected...
Congrats for the episode and looking forward to the new Blender Today format!

Hi guys,
A similar one to this Houdini feature would be great in Blender:
Enable Physics with transformation tools (the switch could be in the snapping menu, or a separate button next to that).

Is being able to override properties like location and roll for edit bones in an overriden armature planned?
So it would be possible to have a base rig that gets linked and then modified to fit different proportioned meshes and when you update the rig only the base rig would need to be updated and have those updates propagated to all the linked armatures.
Currently edits to linked bones in edit mode isn't saved and seems to be prone to crashing.

When can we expect more nodes to be added in the materials section fo procedural texturing?

Hi Pablo! How are you doin? Hope you are ok! Greetings from Argentina!
Here is my question. I don't understand why the new Vertex Paint tools are in Sculpt Mode when there is a dedicated Vertex Paint Mode. Why is that? Will this mode be removed?
One more question :) Do you know if Animation Nodes will be integrated in Blender natively?

Hi.
Not sure if you can answer this, but do you know if full cycles opitX support is a blender dev problem or a Nvidia dev problem?

Request: Add the current "
Rendering Engine
" to the "
Status Bar
".
It would be really useful for tutorials.
Sometimes you are watching a tutorial and it turns out you cannot apply what you just saw with the Rendering Engine that you are using.

Hi, Pablo. Will the UV select sync mode be removed. Is it possible to view UV map in object mode.
If you don't select a polygon or island just beyond its edge, you have to select it closer to the center of the island.
No UV grid manually scalable.
Sorry about the automatic translation.

Hi Pablo, thanks for 109 super awesome episodes of Blender Today!!!
I have a question about the switch from Apple to its own CPUs. Will this change have any impact on Blender's support for macOS? I have read that Apple has already made adjustments to the code of Blender to make it run on Apple CPUs. Have they co-operated with you for this?

OH NO! Last Blender Today? What does this mean Pablo? :(
But Happy Blender Today!
I have 2 questions:
When is Editable motion paths coming to Blender?
Is there some sort of developer day so we can thank our lovely developers for their work? <3

*** UE V: Nanite/Lumen and Eevee + some suggestions
Recently has been published the tech demo of Unreal Engine V on PS5, it can manage dynamic global illumination in realtime, and is able to visualize bilions of poligons.
Considering that all is based on a tech demo (in history tech demos have always been slighty different from the reality), what can be the future of Eevee (maybe even biased engine could be reconsidered)? Were you aware about the development of those revolutionary features?
Since Epic is your partner could be possible to take advantage of this technology inside Blender?
Some suggestions:
the snapping options allow to snap to the edge center but not to the face center, it should be added
the displace modifier is inconsistent with the Cycles nodes, they should be unified somehow without loose any options
3DMax preserve the history of the operators used in modeling, could be this a convenient way to re-implement modifiers without being hindered to access the output geometry?

Hey Pablo, I love the 2.9 series roadmap! I was wondering if the asset manager was still a consideration for 2.9, there is no direct mention on the roadmap? Or will that have to be for later, blender is so busy haha! Either way the roadmap is so exciting!

Will blender get a version launcher, so we earlier can use older version of Blender and also make it easier and faster to download newer versions?
* @DeadDragon * Hi! You can try this one github.com/DotBow/Blender-Launcher (:
