Why Would the Sheen in Principled BSDF Affect the Diffuse Render Pass?

Normally if you render the diffuse direct pass, you will get a pure white model. But with the sheen value in the Principled BSDF set to any non-zero value, the diffuse direct pass would get a colored result. Anyone know why?

Ok I just got the answer from the developers. That's because if the diffuse direct is white, the final combined result will be off. We can either have the Diffuse Color be accrurate and have the Diffuse Direct be not, or have the Diffuse Direct be accurate and Diffuse Color be not. It's just a trade off.
