Happy First Monthsary!

Hello there!

Believe it or not, it's been a whole month since we launched Blender.Today , crazy isn't?

We're super happy with the response from the community, it shows there was really a need for a place like this and we're glad to fill that gap.

To celebrate, we prepared a few surprises last night:

• Link Autodetection : When submitting links, just paste the URL and we'll fill the Title and try to get an image. Sharing is now faster! This was on the to-do list ( the roadmap has been updated).
• Featured posts : Submissions that have a certain amount of points will be highlighted on the feed. What does it mean? It's mostly visual. Featured posts have twice the size than a regular post in the feed. To avoid cluttering the UI, we set the threshold to 12 points or more, since it seems to be the average now for very good submissions. But of course this threshold will grow together with the community (when many posts are featured the timeline could look cluttered, we want to keep it clean and tidy).
• Fixes & Improvements : Every now and then the thumbnails would be shuffled, this was a cache issue that took some time to get fixed but it should be fine now. The website is now much faster too! Have you noticed?

We'll keep working on bringing the best experience to share your own Blender news. We'll be setting up the public repository too so we can get others to help us out.
